“2015-2016 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony” of our university was celebrated in Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ÇTSO) Fair Complex and over 3300 students graduated.
Graduation Ceremony was held with the participation of Ahmet Sami Ceylan who is the deputy of Çorum and Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission Member, Çorum Mayor Muzaffer Külcü, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan, Çetin Başaranhıncal who is the director of Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of public organizations and institutions in our cities and towns, our university academic staff, students’ parents and our students.
After locating in the silence and reading our national anthem “İstiklal Marşı”, the ceremony continued with the speech of Zeynep Ekiz who has come in first in 2015-2016 Academic Year. Stating that she would continue to blossom in other climates with the help of the knowledge she acquired in Hitit University, Zeynep Ekiz wished continued success to her friends who shared the graduation happiness and thanked her family and lecturers who contributed to her education.
In his opening speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan says “We are excited and proud of living this meaningful day to celebrate 2015-2016 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony. I thank everbody here on behalf of all Hitit Family for being here and sharing our happiness. Welcome to our Graduation Ceremony.
We are proud of celebrating 10th establishment anniversary of our university and our university is giving big services. Today is not an end for the graduate students, a new start for their life. I have no doubt that these students will provide the future a lot and carry our university to the best places. I would like to express my gratitude to anyone else who contribute to our university which covers forceful distance.”
Prof. Dr. Alkan says “My request of you young people; set yourselves a target in the extent of quality. Never focus on materiality, you always have your destination to be useful to humanity. Your guide should be the conscious of life-long learning.”
After the speeches of Çorum Mayor Muzaffer Külcü and Çorum Deputy Ahmet Sami Ceylan, the ceremony continued with nursing oath of Health School graduates. Three students who came first in our higher education were given certificates and awards.
Ahmet Sami Ceylan who is the deputy of Çorum, Çorum Mayor Muzaffer Külcü, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan, Çetin Başaranhıncal who is the director of Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alaca Vice Mayor and Sungurlu Vice Mayor gave the presents of the students.
After presenting the awards to the students, the new graduates of our university threw their caps and shared their graduation happiness.
